Getting to know our Chief Operating Officer
We’re excited to introduce Julie Minn, the new Chief Operating Officer at Digital Ink. With nearly three decades of experience in sales, marketing, and events, including a decade in the print and web-to-print industries, Julie brings both fresh energy and a wealth of expertise to the team. Based in the UK, she’ll be focusing on driving operational excellence, supporting clients across North America and Europe, and helping to shape the next chapter of Digital Ink’s growth.
While Julie might describe herself as being on the “mature side” of her career, don’t let that fool you – she’s bringing fresh energy and nearly 30 years of expertise in sales, marketing, and events to what she calls “probably one of the most exciting challenges yet!”
Julie’s impressive career journey includes over a decade of specialised focus on the print and web-to-print industries. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Infigo Software, Business Director at Netkandi, and Sales & Marketing Manager at Identilam, an Avery Labels company. Her path to Digital Ink has been rich and varied, beginning with business development and commercial projects for a large electrical supplier before finding her calling in the conference and events industry. For much of her career, she thrived organising and attending trade shows across the UK and Europe – work that became her gateway into the print industry, where she sold software systems, print equipment, and provided on-site print services for major events, including prestigious work with the Royal Household. “It was hard work but great fun,” Julie reflects, “and probably one of the happiest periods of my career.”
Throughout her career, Julie has consistently delivered value through her commitment to growth, innovation, and human-centred leadership. Now, she’s excited to reunite with respected colleagues, both new and familiar faces, on Digital Ink’s evolving journey.
As COO at Digital Ink, Julie focuses on supporting North American and European clients, driving operational efficiency while leading the company’s sales, marketing, and events strategy. She ensures the business operates effectively and profitably, with laser focus on building the right team and matching best-fit clients with exceptional service. A passionate advocate for human sustainability and employee welfare, Julie is already making a positive impact across the business. “Looking forward to achieving great things!” she says with characteristic enthusiasm.
Favourite Food: Italian cuisine, especially when enjoyed in Italy itself
Biggest Recent Achievement: Julie takes pride in creating a productive HR department with an all-inclusive wellbeing program at her previous role. This work was built upon winning the “Great Place to Work” award, and she successfully recruited new talent while implementing tighter, more effective processes. When she departed, colleagues made it clear she had made a lasting difference.
What She Loves About Digital Ink: “The amazing opportunities on the horizon, the variety of work, and the customers in an industry I’ve been involved with for over 20 years. Above all, working with a great team of people with amazing creative talents who are driven to succeed.”
Can’t Live Without: Holidays, travelling, and sunshine
Hidden Talent: Here’s something that might surprise you: Julie has 29 ballroom dancing medals! She even had the honour of being examined by Len Goodman (famous as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing), who passed her with honours and called her “a promising young dancer.” While it hasn’t directly helped in her current role, it certainly speaks to her dedication and grace under pressure!
Dream Holiday: While those who know Julie well would immediately say “Cyprus” (her self-described “happy place”), she dreams of a long trip around the Amalfi Coast, including visits to Capri and Sicily.
Beach or Mountains? Beach all day long!
When asked why she’d recommend Digital Ink to potential customers, Julie’s answer is straightforward: “We know our stuff, and we have a great network within the print industry. With our MD based in the Middle East, we can help open new doors to expand your business if you’re looking to explore new markets.”
“It’s all about making a difference, whether to the business, the clients, or the team. That’s what I’m all about.”
With over two decades in related industries, Julie brings not just experience but genuine passion for helping businesses grow and succeed. Her combination of operational excellence, people skills, and industry knowledge makes her an invaluable addition to the Digital Ink family.
